Fund Raiser
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Need money for your charity? Chateau Wally Music is looking
for charitable organizations to receive our funds.
The opportunity:
"Oldies For Youngies" by Dino & The Doo Wops is
a charity project aimed at raising money for children in need. Anyone
can visit our website, www.ChateauWallyMusic.com and buy a CD. During
the purchase process, they designate which charity, from the list
we are developing, will receive the CD profits. After a buyer purchases
a CD, $10 of each sale ($19.95 price + $5 shipping and handling)
goes to the designated organization.
We have purchased only 1000 albums to begin this effort, making
our internal cost about $10.00 each. As currently configured, the
album contains two CD's, one is a karaoke version, with everything
but the lead voice, i.e. music and background singers. People who
like this kind of music will appreciate this. There is also an extensive
booklet with the song lyrics and description of this beneficent
project. If things go well, we will order a larger number of CD's
and the profit margin to charities will increase.
Sound interesting? Would your organization like to be on the profit
recipient list?
Help Us Help Children:
We take the pragmatic position that if we can help or inspire
a child in a productive direction, it is a lot easier than trying
to turn around a wayward adult who was once that same child. We
ask organizations who are helping children to partner with us to
help us help you. We will provide information about your organization
and the opportunity to choose you as the fund recipient on our website.
In turn, we ask you to help us sell CD's by simply placing a
link to our website on your website. We ask you to direct your
clientele and sponsors to our website. Asking people to buy CD's
is easier than asking for donations since they have something tangible
to hold in their hands and to rock their socks off. The CD is great,
bringing vitality and a smile to the face to all who listen to it.
The more CD's we sell, the more money for children's organizations.
A bit of background:
If you can remember back to 1958 and the hit single "Short
Shorts," then you've got the background harmony for this interesting
story
Back in that day, a group of kids on the streets of New Jersey
formed a rock band called the Royal Teens. The group went into a
studio and recorded this memorable tune among others. After a second
album, the lead singer of the band, Jim Cusumano, realized he wanted
more from life then the rock 'n' roll lifestyle. He used his musical
mullah to put himself through college then graduate school, earning
a PhD in Chemistry from Rutgers University.
Starting from scratch, Jim launched a highly successful pharmaceutical
company that formed partnerships with companies such as Pfizer,
GlaxoSmithKline, Merck and many others. After an arduous 30-year
career, running the company he sold his interest for a tidy profit.
Instead of taking a leisurely retirement and resting on his laurels,
Jim is compelled to help others.
His first efforts were directed to the movie industry. He built
a production company, Chateau
Wally Films, that directs profits to organizations that fight
breast cancer and also those that support aspiring filmmakers. His
latest endeavor, which takes him back to his Royal Teens roots,
is Chateau Wally Music.
Working with famous musicians who played with the likes of Joe Cocker,
Aretha Franklin, and Frankie Valle & The Four Seasons, Jim formed
a band - Dino and the Doo Wops. This far-from-motley crew recorded
a high energy CD of 50's hits including:
- Love Potion No. 9
- Earth Angel
- That'll Be The Day
- In The Still of the Nite
- Come Go With Me
- Blue Moon
- My Girl
- Gloria
- 16 Candles
- Rockin' Robin
Although to date, Jim funded this entire endeavor out-of-pocket,
he intends all profits from sales of CD's to go to non-profit organizations
that benefit children. A true philanthropist, Jim is currently searching
the world for small organizations that have few layers of bureaucracy.
He believes that children are truly the future of the world and he
wants to invest in this future.
